DAAD is represented around the world through its lector’s program, regional offices and information centers. In Mexico, following main university cities have visiting lectors: Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara and San Luis Potosí.

DAAD finances the lectors – who in fact are visiting professors in the fields of teaching German as a foreign language, training professors, German affairs, linguistics, the science of translation and other scientific fields – at the UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico), IPN (National Polytechnic Institute), the Tec de Monterrey (Campus Monterrey), the UDG (University of Guadalajara) and UASLP (San Luis Potosí Autonomous University).

In addition to language teaching at universities, they also provide valuable information on study opportunities, scholarships and scientific exchange in general. Therefore, DAAD lectors are often the first point of contact for students and academics interested in a stay at a higher education institution in Germany, and are thus, a valuable link between Mexican and German universities.
