Scholarship Database

This scholarship is intended for teachers and student teachers in the STEM fields who will shape the future of coming generations. It provides funding of up to 10,000 EUR for up to 12 months for activities (internships, professional development, school-based research projects, workshops for multipliers) in Germany or abroad. All activities must have a clear connection to Trust in Science.

Trust in Science refers to students’ confidence in science, which develops when they:

• understand scientific principles,
• grasp scientific methods and processes,
• analyse and interpret data and use it to make decisions (data literacy),
• can communicate scientific content clearly,
• can critically evaluate scientific data in the media (science media literacy).

This scholarship is open exclusively to applicants who are currently working or studying in Germany:

• students pursuing a teaching degree or a degree in education (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Ph.D., state examination) with a focus on STEM subjects
• qualified teachers with up to 10 years of professional experience and a focus on STEM subjects

Internships and research projects may take up to 6 months.
Further education and training can receive funding for up to 1 year.
